Our personal approach
Apart from providing some of the most affordable, quality international volunteer programs available, Intvs.org visits all of its programs on a regular basis, providing the local organization with constant feedback. We’ve taught the kids at the elementary schools, assisted at the centers for the disabled, helped at the orphanages and got our hands dirty in the field. If we’ve not done it ourselves, we’ve been there with our volunteers and constantly ask for their feedback, in order to improve the programs both for our volunteers as well as for the local organization… and we do it again and again.
Assuring the ‘complete’ international volunteer experience
Our objective is to provide our volunteers with an experience that covers those aspects that make the international volunteer experience as fulfilling as possible;
Maximizing volunteer participation
Allowing volunteers to make optimal use of their competencies
Assuring volunteers can also have their fair share of FUN (we aim for a healthy ratio of efficient help: spirited play)
Providing the tools for our volunteers to connect with the local community
Assuring safety, accommodation and food hygiene standards are met
Providing references for those who wish to do long term programs/internships
A contagious love for what we do
We love what we do and want our volunteers to love it too. We want them to experience what it’s like to get out of that comfort zone and end up being perfectly comfortable, to arrive somewhere and think “WHAT am I doing here?”…and to leave with the thought “WHY didn’t I stay longer??” In fact, we believe volunteering is just as much for oneself as it is for others.
We want our volunteers to be able to live a life experience, feel great about what they do, make somebody happy but also feel 100% supported by both ourselves and the local NGO.
